Boreas Tecnologia started its activities in solar energy in 2001 with the installation of what it was at that moment the largest Photovoltaic installation in the region of Castilla y Leon. Technologyused in this first installation is based on passive solar panels of amorphous silicon.

Due to the success of this installation, Boreas Tecnologia has developed new solar production plants in different locations. Some of the new plants recently installed use active two axis followers to increase the energy yield of the installations.
